    ASSISTANT HEAD (ACADEMIC)

    Netball Coach

    Lancing College is seeking to appoint an experienced, motivated and enthusiastic Netball Coach (ideally level 2 or 3) to coach girls from January 2017.

    We run more than ten teams across the five year groups and play in the Worthing Netball league on a Monday and Thursday evening.

    We are looking for the right coach to continue improving the skills of the girl’s ranging in ages from 13-18 years.

    Lancing College is seeking to recruit a Kitchen Porter to assist the Catering Manager, Head Chef, Second Chef and Catering Supervisors in the responsibility for ensuring the maintenance of high standards within the catering team. Covering provision of food to agreed standards, hygiene and Health and Safety regulations.

    Hours of work will be 40 hours per week, to include evenings and weekends.

    Marketing and Communications Co-ordinator

    Lancing College is seeking to recruit a Marketing and Communications Co-ordinator. This is a full time position, working hours will be 40 hours per week, 8.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday with one hour unpaid lunch break, but some flexibility is required.

    The ideal candidate will be a positive, self-motivated person, able to work independently and as part of a team. Have the ability to deal effectively with confidential and sensitive information. Will be required to have excellent time management, organisational and administration skills and enjoy working to a high standard in a demanding environment.

    This role has operational oversight responsibility for the co-ordination and implementation of the marketing communications and PR of Lancing College and its two Prep Schools. A key purpose of the role is to ensure a consistent and positive presentation of the College through all communication channels and to enhance the reputation of this successful College.

    Lancing College is seeking to recruit a Term Time General Catering Assistant. Hours of work to mainly work during Term Time (33 weeks plus 8weeks), 40 hours per week and will involve working in rotas, to include evenings and weekends.

    Marketing and Fundraising Intern

    Lancing College wishes to appoint an intern for eight months in its Marketing, Admissions and Development team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious person to gain good experience across a range of marketing and fundraising activities and at the same time take ownership of some small projects. The intern will be part of a small and energetic team and will report to the Director.  The internship will also include a programme of support and development across marketing disciplines to enhance future employability opportunities.

    The position would be suited to a new or recent graduate who has a genuine interest in pursuing a career in marketing and development. Previous experience of working within a demanding customer service environment would be advantageous. The intern would be expected to start in January 2017 and will be for a fixed term ending in August 2017.

    Acting Fundraising Manager

    This fixed term vacancy arises to cover maternity leave for the current Fundraising Manager, from January 2017 to June 2017.

    This is an exciting opportunity to work in the Foundation Office of a busy and successful academic institution. The Fundraising Manager plays an important role in managing the fundraising initiatives of the Foundation Office and reports to the Foundation Director.

    We welcome applications from candidates educated to degree level or equivalent and who have some relevant professional experience. The successful candidate will have a clear understanding of fundraising principles together with some knowledge of, and empathy with, the independent school sector.

    Lancing College is seeking to recruit a PA/Secretary to the Bursar. This is a full time position, working hours will be 37.5 hours per week, 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday with one hour unpaid lunch break, but some flexibility is required.

    The ideal candidate will be a positive, self-motivated person, able to work unsupervised, with a highly organised and methodical approach to work. Have the ability to deal effectively with confidential and sensitive information. Will be required to have excellent time management, with strong administration, telephone and interpersonal communication skills and ability to deal with people at all levels.

    We welcome applications from candidates who have proven experience of working at senior management level, with relevant professional experience. Some knowledge of, and empathy with, the independent school sector would be advantageous but not essential.

    Academic Administrator

    Lancing College is seeking to recruit an Academic Administrator. This is a full time position, working hours will be 40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year however part-time hours would be considered (up to 0.8 FTE). Some flexibility is required and the structure of the working week may be negotiable but in outline working hours are 8.30am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday with one hour unpaid lunch break.

    The ideal candidate will be a positive, friendly, self-motivated person, able to work unsupervised, with a highly organised and methodical approach to work. Will be required to have excellent time management, with strong administration skills and a good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages. Experience of using databases is also desirable.

    The Academic Administrator has overall responsibility for the management of the school’s database. There is a great deal of contact with pupils and staff and it is therefore essential that the Head Master’s Office staff have excellent communication skills and enjoy dealing with people. It is particularly important that the Academic Administrator and the Assistant Academic Administrator communicate with each other effectively to provide an efficient service to the school.

    This is a wide-ranging post and is likely to evolve over time according to the needs of the school. A certain degree of flexibility is therefore required. This post involves handling highly confidential and sensitive material and information, so it is vital that the candidate be able to deal confidentially, sensitively, tactfully, and politely with staff, parents, and pupils when undertaking duties and when in contact with pupils, parents, fellow employees and visitors alike.
