There are two Lancing Prep Schools offering day Nursery, Pre-Prep and Prep education to girls and boys aged up to 13 years.
Both schools are members of the Incorporated Association of Preparatory Schools (IAPS) and benefit greatly from access to the sporting, cultural and campus facilities at Lancing College.
Whilst they both share the ethos of Lancing College, they retain their individual, distinctive aims and ambitions. You will find out more about them below:
Lancing Prep at Hove
Lancing Prep at Hove joined the Lancing family in 2002 and is led by Mrs Kirsty Keep who was appointed Head Mistress in September 2016.
It is located on a leafy campus of some seven acres in the heart of Hove and approximately eight miles from Lancing College. The school has extensive sporting and recreational facilities. A new adventure playground for younger pupils was opened in December 2016 and a brand new multi-purpose hall for use by the school and local community is scheduled for completion later in 2017. Further improvements to teaching spaces are planned.
Kirsty Keep describes what Lancing Prep at Hove has to offer its pupils:
“We aim to provide every child with opportunities to achieve their very best within a broad and varied curriculum.
"Whilst ensuring that each child achieves their very best in academia, there is much more to be found than academia alone. Central to our curriculum beliefs is the idea that all pupils have at least one area in which they can excel, and to that end we place great importance on the teaching of Art, Drama, Music and Sport alongside those subjects you would expect to find in the National Curriculum.
"We offer this within the framework of the caring, friendly and family feel of our school community where pupils are valued as individuals and where development of all strengths is encouraged.”

Lancing Prep at Worthing
Lancing Prep at Worthing is the most recent addition to the Lancing family, having joined in January 2014, and is led by Mrs Heather Beeby who was appointed Head in September 2014.
The school is based in a lovely Georgian manor house on a site of two acres with space to run and play sport, in the Broadwater area of Worthing. It is located some 6 miles from Lancing College. The recent refurbishment of the school hall has incorporated a much improved assembly area, light and airy dining facilities and a performance area for Drama and Music activities. The younger pupils have benefited greatly from their outdoor activities in the Forest School area which opened in September 2015 and the new Foundation Library was officially opened in February 2017. A brand new food technology area this academic year is proving very popular with the older children. Further improvements to teaching spaces are scheduled in 2017 and beyond.
Heather Beeby summarises the ethos of Lancing Prep at Worthing:
“We nurture in all our pupils a love of learning to enable them to maximise their academic potential. Our broad and balanced curriculum is enriched with high quality creative and physical activities to provide a vibrant learning environment. In working and playing together, within the framework of a Christian community, the children develop a sense of service to each other, and the world beyond the school gates, which will characterise their future lives.”
